Built from cypress trees harvested on our property, the lodge at The Island is a 5,200 sq. ft. retreat featuring 5-star Cajun dining services and a large fireplace to unwind around after a day in the blinds.
Originally constructed in 1946 in Cocodrie, LA, the lodge was then transported by barge to its current location in Paradis. At that time, the lodge was used as housing for the Louisiana Land and Exploration Company’s crew while they constructed the levee surrounding the property. Over the years the lodge has experienced several upgrades and expansions, transforming it from a humble camp into a large and cozy space for our visitors and guests.
Our hunting lodge has 6 bedrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. Each of the bedrooms has its own private bathroom. Along with the cozy sleeping quarters, guests can enjoy a fully operational kitchen, poker room, two living areas with TVs and fireplaces, a mud room and a gun room equipped with gun safes. The Island is truly a hunting paradise.
Each overnight stay includes full breakfast and dinner services.
